are they acceptable on Induction? Or any other phase for that matter.

Also, does anyone know the carb count in them?

Thanks alot in advance! Hope all of you are having a good weekend. <3

The are welcome on Iduction. If they have no breading on them. They would have the same number of carbs as plain chicken. You will need to add any carbs to your count for anything you put on them. Check the recipe forums for lots of yummy things to do with them

Chicken wings are the best! Bascially they're chicken, hot sauce and butter- basically. Loooove em.

Yep, they've been a big part of my life since doing this WOE. And...the hot sauce on them sometimes causes a whooosh. (double hurray for chicken-wings!!)

Thank goodness they are allowed because that is what I had for lunch today.

But I was in a hurry and didn't have time to make them myself. I bought the frozen ones by Friday's. I thought they would be alright since they dont have any breading on them and the total net carbs for all 8 in the box was only...hmmm well now I forgot... I think it was 4g

Hopefully if I only make those an occasional thing it wont be too bad....

they really shouldn't have any carbs in them, unless there is sugar or some sort of starch in them.

Make some yourself next time, soooooooooooo much better. I bake mine for convenience, just when the chicken is done, drain off the fat, put some butter and Franks Hot Sauce on them. The more butter:Franks ratio, the milder they are.

I make them at least once every other week. We usually have them with deep fried green beans as a side (instead of french fried potatoes, we have french fried green beans)

Yeah I know it would have been better had I made them myself.....I usually do...or should I say that's what Ive always done before starting Atkins....but today was one of those days, daughter was sick and vomiting everywhere, I had to run to work for two hours to finish payroll....blah blah blah....it was the quickest, most filling, low carb thing I could grab in the freezer section of Walmart before I was hit with projectile vomit.

I need to take some time this weekend and pre cook some things that I can grab quickly out of the fridge on my way to work in the mornings. Either that or hire a really hot male chef to cook for me....

Ooooh La La! Get the chef!!! Hahahahah! Okay, well since you had such a hectic day, you get a slide on those wings LOL

I *try* to precook but it doesn't always happen. But, when I make wings, I make a LOT of them. Too bad they get eaten up so quickly.

Yeah, I'm trying. I need to make a better life for me and my little girl...and lord knows this place I live at now in Louisiana is not the happening place for that. Goodness the only place to shop is the 24hr supercenter walmart and there is one in my town and one in the next town over...20mins away. So your only decision is which one ya want to go to. LOL

I'm definately ready to come back....I lived there for 16 yrs...and bounced all over it...Temple Terrace, Clearwater, St. Pete, Off of Hillsborough, Off of Sligh, etc etc etc. .....worked all over the place too throughout the years. Brother lives in Tampa but works in Brandon.....I think I'm excited and it's not even something that is happening yet. LOL Ah well.........soon...soon.

                            Re: chicken wings?

I love chicken wings!! Yumm! I go in spurts and eat them for lunch everyday with a ceasar salad. (When I am being very good, and have MIL with me who HAS to eat or she gets ornery!) Part of my problem now is that I am not stopping for lunch. I thought about wings today! OK, tomorrow I am going to stop working long enough to get me some wings!!
I was baking them, but I like them much better deep fried. Here's a recipe that Heide gave me. Too funny, I found this laying on my desk a couple hours ago.
                            For 5lbs wings:
1/2 cup Franks Red Hot original hot sauce
1/2 cup Louisiana The Perfect Hot sauce
2tsp crushed cumin seed (I don't have that)
                            2 TBL New Mexicanchile powder
                            1/2 cup lime juice
                            1 cup butter melted

On the stove bring above to a boil then toss over the wings and bake spread out in a roasting pan for 1 hour. turn every 20 min or so.. until done.

I have been deep frying them and then tossing with sauce! Yummmm! Thanks Heidi!!

Oh, I like mine with chunky garlic. So I add that in as well..
                            BARB

Life is what happens to you
while you're busy making other plans!
                            15.38 miles biking this year

Well I bake mine plain with a little bbq chicken spice sprinkled on them, but I use my stone to cook.If any fellow Canadians know the yumminess of swiss chalet wings on the chicken, then they will love what I make.Because its on the stone, they come out EXACTLY like the ones there. They are sooooo good (had them for dinner tonight).Yummy....Yummy.......Yummyyyy!!
