Does Chicken Broth count as a Breakast food? I am not much of a breakfast eater? Does this actually count?

    Re: ?????

The quick answer for this one is that everything can be eaten for breakfast.

Absolutely anything. Many people on this board eat dinner left overs for breakfasts, there is no hard and fast rule.

However, where have you found a lo carb chicken broth? From my experience it is full of carbs. Usually from a thickening agent.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

I just bought 4 cans of this yesterday for snacking. The label reflected a relatively low carb count(3 grams or so?). Will confirm when I get home.

the broth is acceptable if it has acceptable ingredients but as a meal you need someof your veggie carbs some protein and some fats so you are going to need to doctor your broth up a bit. Check out our cream of _______ recipes where the _________ is your favorite acceptable veggie.

What if I just added some mushrooms to the broth?

how is the fat content of your broth? remember Atkins is a ketogenic plan and we need dietary fats to prime the system to burn body fats

                Re: ?????

Why don't you heat it up and then scramble an egg and stir it into the hot broth, it will make like an egg drop soup and that way you'll be adding protein and fat to it, then add your mushrooms too to cover your veggie carb!

You can make soups from your broth and veggies like pumpkin and cucumber. For fat, you can add a tablespoon of heavy cream.

If you're not a breakfast person, eat a small snack---a ounce of cheese and a slice of chicken breast or some kind of meat and a couple slices of cucumber or celery. Breakfast is important because you've been fasting for at least 6 hours while asleep and your blood sugar needs to be stable.
