O.K. It's picnic time ...I know I can have meat...how do I avoid the pasta salad(LOL)!!?????How do I avoid the fruit, and how do I avoid the beans?????
You make deviled eggs and a veggie tray with ranch dressing. You make faux potato salad (with either turnips or cauliflower). There's plenty you can eat, so focus on what you *can have* not what you can't.
Yup, as ttdriver said! Bring suitable foods, fill up with what you're allowed, savor it, enjoy it, and enjoy being at the picnic with your friends/family! Food's far from everything and as long as you're not feeling starved, you should be good to go!
To avoid bad food, just don't put it in your mouth! Tell your arms to not pick it up and if you have to carry it for any reason, don't put your hands to your mouth. You have complete control of your body, so just don't go through the physical motions of eating those bad things.
No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.
I'll be at one all day. I'll be eating meat meat meat. Grilled veggies. More meat. Lots of water. Some meat, more veggies. I don't like potato/pasta salad anyway and with all the meat, I won't be hungry for corn.

If youread and listen to the book and its advice, you will succeed. Nothing worth having ever came easy. "A stupid man's report of what a clever man says is never accurate because he unconsciously translates what he hears into something he can understand." -- Bertrand Russell
I agree with betty, bring something with you: a legal coleslaw or tossed green salad. Bring cheese for your dessert.
You plan of attack would be to eat the legal foods: That is make a beeline to the legal salads, grilled meats. Eat those. Drink your water. If they shove a plate of pies or cookies into your hands, put it on the nearest flat surface, stand up and walk around or join some kind of physicial activity (bring a frisbee or bring a football).
Just remember no one can "force" you to eat something, unless they tie you down, hold your nose, shove food into your mouth and make you swallow it. If anyone should do that to you, call the police.
OK...I can handle lots of meat...I will bring cheese thanx, and though there are some
disfuntional family members...I'm bigger than them and should be able to avoid force feeding...hahaha!

I have a mock potato salad that's really good, too.
1. Chop up a head of cauliflower and cook it until it is still a little firm, but not crisp, in water with garlic powder. (It sweetens the cauliflower.)
2. In a large bowl chop up some celery, a little onion, and several hard-boiled eggs. (Lots of eggs makes the carb count go donw, and makes it more like real potato salad.
3. Fry up some bacon to make bacon bits.
4. Drain cauliflower, and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process. Add to bowl.
5. Season with salt and pepper.
6. Use ranch dressing sweetened with a little Splenda and you've got something that looks like potato salad on the plate.
With your broccoli salad and meat on the plate, you should be really fine!
