I need help!!, I am quite depressed...... I did a clean induction for 2 weeks eating mainly salad, eggs, chicken and cheese and a little cream and drinking 147-175 ounces of water working out viigourously 5 hours a week cardio for 30min and weights and core work for 30min each time. I took all my vitamin supplements and every time I used fitday I was within my limits. I lost inches but I think for the amount of effort I have put in also compared to what my eating habits were prior to Atkins I expected to see more dramatic changes and I guess my expectatons were not met. I lost inches but actually gained a pound. I also note that I never get dark purple ketostix others get mine are always light pink I do not know if it is because of the amount of water I drink
I have recieved various explanations for this
1) It is because of my weight training that I see no results on the scale.
2) It is because I have less than 20 pounds to loose
3) some people cannot handle Dairy (cheese & cream)
4) Too many calories to stick to 1000 or less
I decided to continue on induction to see if this would change I also modified my exercise program to do 45 min of cardio and 15 of weight training. I have removed cheese and cream from my diet for the time being. I have been at this same weight for 8 months and even if it is a very slow weight loss on the scale, I need to see it as I am very close to throwing in the towel. yester day and today I had atkins bars and an extra serving of splenda because I am simply not gettting enough motivation from my results . I actually do not have too much a of a problem with the induction food but why do al this for such minimal results. My goal is to drop one dress size or loose 16 pounds whatever comes first.
I read all these posts about people loosing weight, loosing inches dramatically and all I can think is what about me? what am I doing wrong even people of a similar size seem to have made good progress. When I have asked friends on Atkins for advice, those with similar size and a similar amount to loose, I find that they were eating very little between 500- 1000 calories for the whole of inductionand got results. Posts here do not seem to encourage that so I am confused . My metabolic resistance is high but I am sure it can be overcome. Someone out there please help!!! I am prepared to do what ever it takes.
