  • Things top 10 things I love about Atkins

    10. Being able to eat steak, chicken, fish, pork, shrimp, and crab with butter and know that this is GOOD for me.

    9. No carb mood swings.

    8. Eating less makes me feel LIGHT and agile!

    7. Learning to love vegetables.

    6. Laughing when my friends say Atkins is "dangerous" (though they're saying
    this less and less as I loose weight).

    5. Decaf Green Tea

    4. Adapting delicious Thai recipes for low-carb dining.

    3. One word BBQ!

    2. Knowing that everytime I wake up in the morning chances are I'm smaller, lighter, and happier.

    1. After 30 years FINALLY realizing I have my weight issue under control!

    1. cream in my coffee
    2. no tummy
    3. no flabby arms or legs
    4. I pretty much know what my triggers are now
    5. finally not trying to loose weight anymore!!!!
    6. I still have mood swings but now they have nothing to do with carbs
    7. cooking
    8. looking at myself naked and not freaking out
    9. cheese
    10. all the friends I have made

      Ooh,Ooh this is a good one...

      10: Eating Butter and olive Oil; Not having to use PAM Spray
      09: Eating Eggs and Bacon and Sausage EVERYDAY!
      08: The ADBB and all the inspirations and supporters
      07: Real CREAM in my coffee...mmm
      06: Losing my first 10 pounds in two weeks
      05: Getting immediate results, or having Ketosis to let me know a whoosh is on the way
      04: Never feeling Hungry
      03: No more 3pm Naps
      02: All the meat, Chicken, Seafood I ever dreamt of!
      01: And MY #1 reason I Love Atkins? Daydreaming about my NEW WARDROBE and actually KNOWING it's gonna Happen!!!

      I had GASTRIC BYPASS in 2001
      Lost 200+ Lbs, Lowest weight was
      165...too skinny
      Now I am trying
      to nip this CREEPING up of Lbs
      in the Bud.

      DAILY GOALS: More Water & LESS Sweetner

        Oh.... I have more now...

        - Making whipped cream with splenda (YUM)

        also...... ADDB! I couldn't have done Atkins without this board! ... seriously!

          10- Wearing shorts and summer clothes again

          9-No more 'pants wedgies' or 'ride up'

          8-Great skin and hair

          7-Loose rings

          6-ENERGY!!!!!

          5-No longer a slave to junk food

          4-Knowing that I'm doing something good and right for myself

          3-No more guilt about eating 'fatty foods'

          2-People saying, "Have you lost weight?" Oh yeah!

          1- A BIG FAT JUICY STEAK!!!!!

            10. Having guys 10 yrs younger check me out when they think I can't see.
            9. Guilt Free Mock Danish
            8. Bacon- Food of the Gods
            7. Buying eggs buy the 2 1/2 dozen box- CHEAP!
            6. Full fat cheeses
            5. Increase in stamina (especially in the bedroom WOOHOO)
            4. Creamed Spinach
            3. Fitting into roller coaster seats.
            2. Buying my clothes from someone other than the Tent Maker
            1. Catching DH checking me out even when I am looking!
            And of course all my new friends at ADBB. I lurve ya'll!!

              Oh, yes!

              Not having to avoid certain chairs and benches
              Being able to ride on just 1 passenger ticket
              Saying "Told you so" to those who mocked me at the beginning
              New muscles and plenty of energy to keep them toned
              Not having split pants or popped buttons to mend
              Seeing my toes without bending over
              The Whooshie Fairy
              Drill Seargents that kick your but to keep you straight
              Kicked bad habits replaced with healthy water

              but regained ~20# in '07 in less than 3 weeks! And again early '08 ...Was in HEAVEN -got to 150, for awhile, then got too busy, and gave in too much... and... OK holding pattern "keep it together..."

                Not really in this order:
                    • Size 6

                    • Sexy jeans

                    • Cuter clothes in the smaller sizes

                    • Cuter lingerie

                    • Veggies, veggies and then some more veggies

                    • Who knew you could CRAVE exercise?

                    • Real full-fat dairy products

                    • Whole foods, no chemicals

                    • Admiring my muscle tone in every mirror I see

                  I have only really done any serious exercising for the last month or so and I get so disappointed if something crops up that means I have to miss one of my sessions at the gym!
                  Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
