  • I put my sister on Induction

She's 15 but the doctors have agreed that she's stopped growing (seems like me family gets one huge growth spurt in their lives and that's it for puberty). Like I was, she's obese. However, now that I'm over here I she wanted to go on my diet. It's the first time she's ever been interested in losing weight, but then again she hadn't seen me for a year. The hardest part was showing her how to make up meals for herself, and what to buy at the grocery store. Plus, she can gobble up a mountain of hard boiled eggs!

Here's the great news: at 5'1 and 176 pounds initially, after a clean induction (and help from fitday) she'd lost 9 lbs. It was so hard waiting it out those two weeks

So one down...maybe eventually the rest of my family?

Good for her, and for you! I'm so sure she'll have an easier time now than later, and starting these habits before she's on her own.
What is it, a RACE? It's coming off, right????

Man! She's lucky! I wish I had a big bro like you when I was 15. You're probably saving here a LIFETIME of heartache from being overweight and probably saving her life in terms of health problems.

Now if only I could get MY sister on it...

Good for you and her, Pineapple!

Does she use the internet? If so show her our 'Teens' forum so she can get to know some of our younger members and share tips and vents!

As of right now she's lost 14 pounds. I've tried to get her on the internet, but I can't even get her to make an account on fitday! That's going to have to change since she won't be able to keep an accurate journal forever, but I guess one thing at a time
