Not hungary...

  • Not hungary...

    18 days...still on induction...down 11.5 pounds ...
    here's my issue...I'm not hungary...starting to eat hard boiled eggs
    as a meal...a little meat here and there...I'm glad my appetite has
    decreased...is it possible it has decreased to much??? This is very
    new to me...is it normal??? ...Also, should I add low carb
    bread now or will I want to go carb crazy???

    The next rung on Atkins isn't the bread one. The next rung is the veggies one. You should be focusing on adding in 5 extra carbs a day from veggies. There is a stiky in the OWL forum that explains it all for you.

      Appetite suppression is a side effect of Atkins. The trick now is to follow the 6 hour rule and make sure you are eating your vegetables.

      IF you want to add food groups, you should move to OWL Phase.

        I know how you feel Nothinn... I'm also having a time not wanting to eat. Weird. Maybe we shouldn't complain. I'm forcefeeding myself veggies and try to follow the six hour rule. :_

          remeber that is have a small snack of protein/fat with some of your carbs( veggies) when you are not hungry and 6 hours have passed since your last meal.

            Yup
            last time my appetite plunged and i'd have happily went about 18-20 hrs eating nothing.
            Had to force myself to go have stuff to eat.

              Isnt it weird to have to remind yourself to eat now and again.

              I can truthfully say I never had this 'problem' before Atkins
              It's great to find my life no longer revolving about how soon and what I am going to eat!
              Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

                That happened to me too for the first two weeks, the past few days though I've been hungry like crazy even though I eat more than before (all legal) so I decided to move to first rung of OWL ... I'm hoping this is due to an upcoming TOM (my TOM schedule is messed up so I'm not sure)
