  • Ketone sticks

I have decided to use the Ketone sticks as a tool. In general, how long until they register Ketosis? 2-3 days 3-5 days? Just curious.
    Thanks!

Normally, about 2-3 days. They're great in letting you know if you're in ketosis, but I wouldn't check for a couple more days at least.

BUT don't get discouraged if they don't register anything. It doesn't mean a thing.

apparently the over-the-counter ketone sticks only register one out of 3 types of ketones that we put out when burnng fat, so even if you dont get a reading you may well be in ketosis and on the road to weightloss.
I have never shown more than a faint hint of pink in the early days (never bothered to buy new when they ran out) and was losing large amounts!
There are other signs of being in ketosis which I think are more reliable

Agreed... don't sweat it if ketones don't register. It just depends on your body chemistry.

I get into ketosis very easily and quickly and my readings are always high... but some people barely register, if at all.

The appetite supression is a great sign - you'll find yourself not as hungry and not really craving the foods you used to.
