Hi ThereI am in day 6 of my 14 day induction. Prior to starting Atkins 6 days ago, I was on weight watchers for 10 days and lost 8 pounds. I switched to Atkins since I was always hungry. I immeditely switched from Weight Watchers to Atkins and have been on the Induction Phase for 6 days and lost 2 pounds. I was hoping to loose more than just 2 pounds. I'm wondering if the Induction Phase is primarily the loss of water weight? And could it have been that I have already lost that 'water weight' when I was on Weight Watchers? I have used the Ketone Strips as a guide and I am showing a trace to moderate amounts of ketones which varies daily. I feel wonderful, have lots of energy and exercise approximatey 20 minutes-40 minutes a day. My menu consists of:
Breakfast: 1 Hard Boiled Egg or 2 Scrambled Eggs fried in Butter w/1 Sausage Patty or 2 slices of bacon
Lunch: Tuna salad (tuna in water - 1 can) w/3 tsp Mayo OR Egg Salad (2 Hard Boiled Eggs w/3 tsp mayo).
Dinner: Some meat (lean cut of beef, chicken or turkey) w/romaine lettuce (salad w/cheese and blue cheese dressing) or plain.
Snack: String Cheese
I have 20 pounds left to reach my goal. Am I doing something wrong and/or is the process slow as it might be mainly water weight? Thank you!!!! Lora
