    Re: Self-conscious

just remember since you have been doing Atkins your insulin production rater is slower in responce to sugasr increases and you will react to a high carb meal like a diabetic without of ccontrol sugars. if you want to damage your body like diabetes does then go for it. Me I ran all the way from that 300+ person and will just keep on running from her.

CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss, Exfortek!!

I have a Fun Day once a month (my mom calls them "Free Days" lol), and that keeps me from general cravings - not to mention glaring at the TV when Food Network shows are on!

Wow...thats an unbelievably huge weight loss in such a short time....congratulations!! If only I could shed the extra weight like a suit of clothes.

I myself had a cheat meal last night because I was feeling extremely tired/sleepy/sluggish and a bit under the weather....just the thought of some veggie was making me want to hug the porcelin throne.....but I kept it in check....I had 1/2 cup of banana pudding and 3/4 cup tuna helper......it made me feel better health wise and i have no extra cravings today....i just continued eating the Atkins way when I woke up....I am learning that I do have will power and I can actually have a small amount of something when I'm feeling ill and stop at that little bit.....and that makes me happy to know that I can say no and can turn down things that I used to eat by the buckets full before.........

            Re: Self-conscious

Personally...I don't cheat. I'm not a Saint or anything of the kind, I am a recovering carboholic. One cheat can lead me right back to fatsville. It is something I've totally committed myself to. I have a new life-style. One thing I always tell myself is: If I got a new job...I wouldn't go to the old job for one day and work for no pay. I'd go to my new job so I could get paid. To me, that is a visual that I can accept and make sense in staying on plan. Sounds dumb, but visuals work for me.
