  • Getting out the grill !

It's summer here and I'm confused at why I've left a brand new grill setting in the garage since last fall.. maybe used two or three times?? LOL !

It's just PERFECT for our WOE! Chicken, steaks, veggies... YUMMY! It's out of the garage now, cleaned up and ready to go.

    Cookout tonight, anyone?

woo hoo ia this a BYOM party or are you supplying the meat too?

We grill all yr long. I can remember as a kid shoveling the snow off the deck from the kitchen door to the grill for my Mother so it is a long family tradition in my house, the grill never gets a vacation LOL

I dont have a bbq yet (YET! Been eyeing this really, really nice one up for when we get our new house) But I have a George Foreman grill in the kitchen. Comes in very handy!

I love your weight tracker, that's hilarious. Don't we all feel like that some days, the food is chasing us!

Those George Foreman grills really come in handy - keep up the good work!

I grill most of the year too. I use it almost every day. I love a grilled steak with a spinach salad! or grilled veggies! or scallops! I'm hungry now.

My husband bought a new charcoal grill right before I went out for surgery so we have been BBQing all month long. We do hamburgers, hotdogs, smoked sausage, brats and jalepeno poppers. We also have a smoker so one day we smoked a brisquet and some country style pork ribs. It took us a week to eat all that. haha Saturday night we did hamburgers, smoked sausage and jalepeno poppers and we still have a few leftovers still today. We ate it Saturday night and all day yesterday too. LOL When we fire up the grill we cook everything in the house that is grillable.

My evil landlord won't let us have a grill outside . . . grrrrrrr growl grumble grrrr . . . . but I manage to get around that by having a cast iron grill pan that covers two burners on the stovetop. I grill almost every night!! Of course, the pan weighs 80 pounds, so my arms get a workout too!

I'm sitting here at work and officially starving now! Yesterday I fixed onion burgers and today I think I'll put some chicken breasts on when I get home. I love the easy clean up.

ok here is my favorite all around marinade for grilled meat and fish ..ready

just toss together and variable amts

                            olive oil
lemon juice, lime juice or sour orange juice
                            garlic fresh squeezed
rosemary (or any fresh herb you like)
                            salt
                            fresh cracked pepper
                            and hot chile powder

mix together well put meat in a bag and marinate over night for whole pieces of chicken with the skin or just a few hours for boneless ..seafood or fish....this is to die for ....you can use it on other meats but it is so good on seafood and poultry!

Oooh I'm getting all hungry again now! lol I've only just eaten lunch! So much so we're going to my in-law's house to use their bbq lol. Mmm, grilled steaks, chicken, sausages, vegetable kebabs...

We have two bbq's in the apartment complex on the pool deck but there's always people using it. Darn them!
