  • Finally Got The Book

I know...its about time. Someone took me to a bigger city last night to go see a movie and while there we stopped at a Books A Million bookstore (never heard of them before but hey...whatever works, eh?). I almost FORGOT about looking for the book.
I was in the childrens section and it hit me..."oh my god I'm in a bookstore, why dont I look for the DNDR"...LOL. So I did and I found ONE copy. I dont think it's the right version though and I'm not sure how to tell but it's better than nothing I suppose.
Even though I've done the induction since May 22nd and I've had a few set backs here and there...even though I've lost 25 lbs.....I think I'm going to (mentally) start over since I have the book in hand.....
It explains some things a lot better and makes me feel like I have a bit of a better understanding of things....
Anyway....that's my decision and I'm happy with it....I guess it's still just an extended induction technically cuz I've never come "off" the DNDR but mentally I'll think of it as restarting....I dont make sense sometimes...LOL. Im just happy I got the book.

I am glad you managed to get a copy as it explains things so well.

I still find new things in it that I didnt notice before!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Not sure.....in the front where the copy right is and stuff it says

        Copyright 1992, 1999, 2002 by Robert C. Atkins, M.D.

Then there's a blurb about all rights reserved then it says:

First Avon Books paperback printing: January 2002

Only the back cover mentions his death in 2003.....so that's why I dont think I got the right one *shrug*

Thanks guys...I'm already understanding the "whys" of some of the rules....and suprisingly makes sense........so I'm definately glad I have it now and that I can read it....it is after all not just a way of life or a way of eating...its a learning process....and I'm all for learning as much about making myself healthier as I can....
