  • Need tips for last 5-10 pounds....

    Those that have made their weight goals.....

    Can you please share some tips you might have used to loose
    those stubborn last 5-10 pounds? It seems daunting to me.

    They are always the most difficult and stubborn! Just stick with the program, don't give up, keep drinking plenty of water and exercising.

    You'll get there eventually, but it will seem to take forever!

      Actually, I have been advised to forget about them! Do you like how you feel? How you look? The way you're eating? The scale is just a number and will not change any of those things. In DANDR, the good Dr. says that one day, you'll just kind of find yourself in maintenance if you follow the plan correctly.
      What is it, a RACE? It's coming off, right????

        My last few pounds came off when I changed things up. Ate more fruit and veggies......changed my exercise routine around. And lowered the fat!
        Make it a happy low carb life!

          Many people here have posted that as they have lost weight with Atkins they are actually a smaller body size then they were at the same weight previously.
          So dont be too concerned about poundage - when your body shape is how you like it you will have reached your goal - regardless on how much you weigh.
          Perhaps see if you can get your body fat percentage checked out for a better idea of how close to goal you are already!

            Tenacity and determination. They're tough, the last ones...but you can beat 'em!

              my best tip came from someone who was pretty wise with his words to me ...set a date and call it goal ..then see what happens...what happened was I lost 10-11 more lbs no promises but some how letting the pressure off my self to keep loosing helped me actually loose some more!!!

                I am on my last 5-10 too. I am just going through the rungs and will see what happends. My ratios (fat/carbs/protein) have changed alot since I have been adding different foods. I am hping this will shake my body enough to drop though last few. Meanwhile, I am also adding different workout routines

                  I'm no where near my 5-10 lb goal yet, but I can foresee problems losing the last bit. I LOVE the fat part of my ratios!

                  I know if I'd just lower it a little bit, the weight would drop more quickly - it just tastes so darn good!
