Does anyone else track their foods using fitday who also eat avocado?
For some reason the calorie/fat seems low to me. I have been eating one avocado a week, (1/2 avocado twice a week) but the count seems low. I actually weight the inners by the ounce since avocado can vary so much. A half an avocado (California) is about 3.5 - 4 ounces which is about 140 calories and 13g fat...For some reason this seems low in the calories.

Does it sound right to you??

    Thanks bunches!

That is absolutely right. California avocados are amazing little fruits! They curb appetite like nothing else and are (incidentally), as you have noticed, low-carb, rather low-calorie -- and high-fiber to boot! Their energy content is 90% fat or so, so I think that's why they fill you up on so few calories.

    Avocados are the best!
No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

Avocados are wonderful. I used to avoid them like the plague when I was trying the low calories diets, and it's great to be able to enjoy them guilt free now!
