Not sure if this is the right forum, but I would like both gender opinions (ie:why im not posting it in the women's forum). As you can see in my pic my hair is WAY long. I would like to donate it to locks of love. I would have to go REALLY short (hair has to be 10in to donate). IVE NEVER had real short hair before. ANyone have any PICS of cut shorter hairstyles. Do you think I'd look okay iwth short hair?

Anyone can wear short hair if it's the right cut for their face. Find a good salon, and bring pictures with you. The stylist can advise and help you make a decision. -

I think it's great that you are going to donate!!
As for the actual cut, go to the higher end salon in you town. They usually rank their stylists based on experience. I personally would go to someone with a lot of experience since it'll be such a dramatic change. They can help you find the right cut for you. You're such a cutie, you could wear almost any style though!Comment

You have a great face and I bet you could wear your hair at any length and still look fabulous! I think you would look great with some shoulder length hair and add some layers, it would look super cute I've had my hair cut so many different lengths, my shortest was a pixie cut but I wasn't havin' it so I grew it out to what it is now and I love my long hair. Change is always good it makes ya feel better!

I love my long hair but I think its fantastic that you are going to donate yours. I agree with the Demi cut, that looks cute. Definately go to a really good salon and go thru magazines and see what inspires you.

The Demi cut is exactly what I'm trying to get mine to do. I have had very short hair for years and I have been trying to grow it out for about a year. I'm still not there yet but getting closer. Can I put my two cents in? Leave it long. It's beautiful! Women kill for hair like yours. It's true. If you want to change it up - try a few highlights to brighten it up. (Not that it needs brightening up) just for a little pick-me-up.
You look like you're in your 20's? Look around at most of the 30 and up age group - it gets shorter as you get older. I say, enjoy it while you're young!
Whatever you decide, I'm sure it will look perfect! How can you go wrong with a face like that?

I see your point but, if she wants to go with a short, FUNKY style, now would be the time. I want to cut mine off too but I have very fine hair and I am afraid I won't be able to get enough volume to do anything with it...Helmet-head!
My husband is going to be home for his deployment in about 4 weeks so I am going to think really hard in the next few weeks and I might follow her lead.

I think the posters motivation here is the thoughtful act of volunteering/donating kudos to you!
I think a bob would look good on you too. You could even go a bit shorter (wedge style) in back with longer in the front to one side. A few highlights to top it off and I think that would be adorable on you!Make it a happy low carb life!

If you really want to, then go for it, I am sure you will look lovely. FYI, though, I read that locks of love won't take hair that has been colored, permed or otherwise chemically altered. Have you checked with the organization to make sure you qualify?

It may be shorter than you were thinking of, but I think the way that (natalie portman? Kiera knightly? the really short cut one) would be great on you. Also thinking (man I cant think of names right now! The girl who was on Charmed... adn with Tony Danza).
