    Hi,

I have been on here before but not for awhile...I have been on and off of the atkins for about 4 years now...with a weight loss of around 60 pounds...since the first time on the diet i have put back on about 20 and i am now trying to get it off before my wedding in October...Anyway here is my question? Does anyone get leg cramps in the morning...Muscle aches...recently i have gotten them and it is very painful...i take One a day Vitamins for Low Carb Lifestyle and i eat right..and i drink plenty of water can ne one tell me if this has happened to you?

    thanks

Calcium/magnesium/potassium help leg cramps. You can find supplements that contain all three. I always get leg cramps on induction if I don't take a supplement.

I agree with Miss. Dr. A addresses this in the book. Definitely take a calcium supplement and perhaps up your low, low carb veggies. You are probably losing electrolytes since this WOE has a diuretic effect. This can be dangerous, so don't ignore it. Try to eat potassium containing foods. Here's a list (some are high carb so watch for that):

Yup, GNC has a combination calcium/potassium/magnesium supplement. It's called Calcimate Pluss 800. Helped me!!
