I just went shopping for clothes for my new job and could not believe what size I bought (are clothes sizes bigger now?).
Anyhoo, went straight to the tiny (why do they even bother) plus size section of Target and as usual, hated everything. Why are plus size clothes so ugly? I have an idea, but won't voice it..
So, I went to the missus section and to the clearance stuff.
I fell in love with lots of stuff and thought, well, I am only going to fit into a size 20, so this is going to be a monumental waste of time, but oh well. I grabbed some size 18 skirts and went to the dressing room.
Well, I stood there flabbergasted when the size 18 skirts bagged on me! WHAT? I am 230lbs for crying out loud!
I ended up buying several skirts in a size 16! They fit perfectly. To be fair, I did buy a few size 18, since they fit a bit better, but most of what I bought was size 16.
Now, you might be thinking the skirts were elasticized, but NOPE! They are the non-elasticized, zip up the side kind, to the knee and flared.
I am in shock, really. What size will I wear when I am skinny?
The moral of the story is to go shopping! You may just be pleasantly surprised!
