Re: Can I Do It?
That's a very hard question to answer because weight loss depends on a number of things including, your metabolic resistance to weight loss, any medical conditions that can slow your metabolism, how well you adhere to the diet program in terms of food and exercise, your age, etc.
The only thing I can tell you is to give it your best effort for 14 days and see what happens.

Re: Can I Do It?
Hi, welcome Tia. Can't answer your question as far as dropping the 2 sizes, I have seen alot of people drop plenty in that amount of time, although I am a slow loser. Just wanted to welcome you to the board and wish you luck on your weightloss journey. Stick to Atkins and watch the weight fly.

Re: Can I Do It?
Congratulations on the 9 pounds lost so far.
You're really off to a great start!! If you check your measurements, you'll be able to monitor your size shrinking, too. Hope you make your goal - isn't that only 4 inches you need to lose on the waist?~Susan

Re: Can I Do It?
Make sure you exercise as well as follow the eating plan, and you might well make it - but even if you dont quite get there you can always have the dress taken out a tad if needed!!
Or invest in some spanex (sp?) undergarments to help the fit!Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Re: Can I Do It?
Welcome, Tia! That was a bit risky buying a wedding dress you can't fit into. I did that around my wedding thinking I was going to lose 3 sizes in a year, and well, didn't put my heart into it and had to buy a new dress.
You, however, are just starting and you can put your heart into it. Never cheat, and exercise plenty, follow the plan to the T and no one can say you didn't give it your all. Maybe you will have to take the size 20 in...(crosses fingers for you!)

Re: Can I Do It?
Congrats on your success so far on the diet. Having a mini-goal or a reason to lose the weight is certainly a good way to keep yourself motivated well learning the diet. Just remember the rapidity of weight loss is largely a person thing. You may totally lose the weight and sizes by October AND MORE, but I just want to caution this is long term journey. I wish you much success, and we will certainly enjoy seeing your success story in the coming week.Kent - 35-M-6'4"

Re: Can I Do It?
Its possible. I dropped from a size 22 to a size 16 in 3 months. But it takes complete adherence to the rules of induction and owl, plenty of water, exercise, and good healthy food. And you must, this is an absolute must - you must stay off the scale and focus only on how your clothing fits. If you can do this, you may find that size 20 wedding dress is too big for you.
