  • Okay, little bit of advice needed.

Granted, it's not all that big of a deal. I have been doing the whole crunch thing, and I noticed that my abs aren't really getting any better. As I looked my stomach over, I came to the realization that it is just loose skin. Then, I examined the skin on my arms, and neck, and noticed it isn't as taut as it used to be. Now, I know it's from the weight loss, and I know that it will revert back to the way that it used to be, but I would like to know if a body wrap would help my skin realize how it's supposed to be.

I know that body wraps help to temporarily lose inches, and tighten skin, and I also know that it's effects can't ever really be permanent, but is it possible that it would help to train the skin, as it regains it's original elasticity?

I mean, I'm gonna get the wrap anyway. I just want to know if I would have the added benefit of any type of permanency.

My goodness, I have to be the girliest man I know.

      SkaP asks:

You answered your own question. Nothing can train your skin to go back to like it was before the weight gain and age.

It all depends on your genetics, also your age and your exercise.
If you are one of the lucky ones, your skin will tighten up to a degree that you are pleased with. If you are like me, I am old, saggy skin and think my skin is going to not be to pleasing to the eye. Thank goodness for clothes. I look pretty dang good in clothes.

Ya know!!! I will be happier with my saggy skin and smaller body. How about you?

Then there is the option for surgery after you get to the weight you want to be. But I don't have the money for a tummy tuck, batwing removal, thigh lift or any other saggy part. .

I'll take saggy and slim instead of firm and Fat.

      Have a good day.

My friend who is doing this WOE with me wants to lose inches off the waistline fast, so tried a couple body wraps and even a colonic! Didn't lose any inches, and blew a LOT of money. Perhaps such works for some people but the one person I know to try it did so with no positive results. Just my two cents...

I would encourage you to continue exercising, continue conditioning and taking care of your skin, and continue fueling your body in this healthy WOE.

Re: Okay, little bit of advice needed.

I do dry body brushing in the morning before my shower, then I use scrubby gloves (nylon loofah gloves?) in the shower to scrub all over, massaging always towards my heart. At night, I moisturize (your skin does its best repair work between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m.), again massaging, firmly in the areas that really need it.

I've noticed that first of all, my skin is so flippin' soft now, and also that my skin seems firmer. It might all be a delusion, but, hey, what the heck!

              Good luck!
