    I checked the Crisco website for ingredients, and it was just soybean oil. It should be completely fine. I personally prefer to fry wings in corn or peanut oil for higher smoke temps, but Crisco oil should do the job as well.

        If it's the liquid oil, it should be okay. You would want to avoid the vegetable shortening (the solid white stuff), because that's basically hydrogenated/trans fats.
