  • Am I doing this right?

Hello..Well, I am officially 2 hours away from finishing day 3 of induction!! I am very proud of myself, but as of now, I am starting to get discouraged! Everything has gone well, except for today. I have been craving all day long, and I have yet to beat that sweets craving. As you can probably tell, I am a very impatient person. I just don't feel anything happening!?!? I know it may be too soon, and nothing this hard is instant. I have only eaten what is allowed on induction, but I think one day I may have went over?? I am not sure...I have read up some on this, but I pretty much just dove in head first. Is it 20 carbs or net carbs? Or are they the same? I should know this, but unfortuanatly, I don't. I had a little more salad than allowed, and maybe a little more cheese also. But is that going to have a great impact on stalling weight loss? Can someone please walk me through this breifly? I want to make sure I am making sense and going about this right. As I said, I have read up, but only the basics. Maybe now is a good time to open that book back up?! Thanks......Amy

Yep....open the book. It's great advice. as well there is so much of it you will read it over and over again. Carry it with you.
Some people count ALL carbs some count NET carbs. The difference is :
    net is carbs-fiber=net carbs.
Don't trip too much about going over here or there....it's definitely a learning process. You have made a decision to change your life. Take your time! Learn about your body and what it can and cannot tolerate. Ask plenty of questions and re-invent yourself! It feels soooo good I promise! And with diligence and tenacity the end result physically, mentally, emotionally and personally will be something that you can reflect upon as a growth like no other. As such, you will question mainstream and conventional products, advice and recommendations. And rightly so. The health of the American public (and beyond) is truly being sacraficed like guinnea pigs with trans fats and high fructose corn syrup. We're a governmental science experiment going bad.
I wish you much success on this woe and hope you take it day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute and learn what I have about my body, myself and my family.
Make it a happy low carb life!
