  • Need carb counts for fast food

    We are going away this weekend to the beach, and there are board walk stands and Mcdonalds type places there. We only have a small refridgerator in the hotel room. Was wondering what people eat when they go on vacation.

    first you can go to McDOnalds and every other fast food company's website and see what the nutrtional values and ingredients are for everything they serve. Pack a cooler and hit the store for food you can chill on ice take canned goods or pouches of tuna chicken or fish and some packets of mayo.
    use the coffee maker to cook or get a porible grill and BBQ dinner
    use your imagination and you can stay on Atkins.

    Brook had a post up about traveling with 3 kids in her truck using a plug in the ciggy lighter cooler which might still be here. I think she cooked hard boiled eggs it the produce stands filled the cooler with cut up stuff and munched her way cross country with them losing fat every mile.

      This is a great link for McDonalds. You can customize and see exactly what the counts are for a burger after you take off the bun, ketchup etc.

        Thanks for the answers, and I love the site crystylp! 2big4mysize, we are taking as many snacks as we can in a cooler and our water.(five people, 4 adults, 1 kid, in a ford escort) The car will be packed to the gills for a 4 day vacation!!! Should be fun!!

          I hope you have a great time and manage to stick to it. I can understand how it can be difficult when ur situation changes but if u go prepared then you wont be preparing to fail!

          Did Atkins on and off from Feb 2005 until April 2008. Fluctuated between 15 st 1/211lbs and 11 st 1/155lbs.
          On different weightloss programme from 28th May 2008 start weight 14 st 11/207lbs.
          Current weight 10st 3lbs/143lbs.
          Ultimate Goal Weight 9 st/126lbs.
