I am on day 10 of induction and have gained a couple of pounds over the past two days. Here's why: I quit smoking Tuesday and I'm eating to satisfy the false "hunger" that qutting smoking causes. However, for the most part, I am eating induction friendly. (Yesterday I had half an Atkins shake for breakfast because I was running late for work and I had a Diet Coke w/splenda last night.)
I realize my body is going through several changes at once, so I'm not very worried about the small gain in weight. I know it will go away once I'm past the actual withdrawl of nicotine (my 72 hours ends around midnight tonight.) I've vowed to eat clean and not weigh again until Monday. I can't watch the scale go UP in fear of eating every sweet I can find at the corner gas station.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this little gain when they quit smoking? Thanks!
