My life had changed so so much since I discovered Atkins. lost close to 5 stone (british measurement) and my confidence, fitness and countless other things have risen beyond belief.

I just wish Dr Atkins was still alive now.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

people now refer to me like I have always been thin.... or "you are naturally thin and athletic looking"

it is nice to hear ...but kind of embarassing since it sure as helll is not true

it took a lot of work to figure this whole thing out ...worth every second

Even with just the 23 pounds I've lost so far, it's been a change for the better! I have more energy, I'm regaining my confidance and I don't feel ill all the time. I can't imagine how much better it's going to be once I get down to a healthy weight.

Energy, confidence, stamina, courage to try new things, new clothes, new looks, new positions, helped with my struggle with depression, less moodiness, less dramtic hormonal shifts, more patience, less jittery lightheaded feelings. I guess not all of this can be attributed to the weight LOSS per say, but it is all directly related to the lack of sugar and the feelings that came WITH the weight loss.

A great question! GL on your journey!
What is it, a RACE? It's coming off, right????

Re: How has your WEigHtLoSs success effected your life?

I have lost a little over forty lbs since 2-27-06. It has been a total blessing. I am healthier, happier, stronger, and more confident.
The downside is, I cant afford to keep buying new clothes every week... LOL. But, thats still a good thing.

Gosh, there are so many to list. Definitely POSITIVE things:
Self Confidence, feeling sexy, fitting into normal sized clothes, Getting noticed because I look good, not noticed because of how awful I look, Sleeping all night, waking up before the alarm, no acid reflux, no irritable bowel, no neck aches, less headaches, smaller thighs!, REDUCED CHOLESTEROL (down 53 total pints TYVM), Healthier, My family is PROUD of me, I'm PROUD of myself...there are just so many things. I'll think on it and come back to post more later.

Re: How has your WEigHtLoSs success effected your life?

I don't know where to even start with this posting!! (in a good say though) I've been on and off atkins for a few years now.. I'd lose some and then get off track and life got in the way.. i'm sure you all know how that goes. But once you are determined and know w/in yourself that this is a lifestyle change, then real changes happen.. and that is what I did. I get so sick of people self pittying themselves about being overweight.. so DO SOMETHING about it! When I started self pittying myself I was so disgusted and then it turned into DETERMINATION. My confidence on the inside is just beaming since I've started back on induction (and working out 2 times a day.. sometimes 2 and 1/2). I'm so sore, it's not funny with this new Tae bo tape that really works your stomach and shoulders. NO pain, no gain though.. as we all know! I CANNOT stop looking at my before and during pics.. I like am so excited to keep losing. Confidence w/in myself has just soared.. And it's something inside myself that I can only feel.. because I've always had confidence onthe outside.. just sometimes int he inside, that little voice would come out.. you know what I"m talking about, right?! Well it's getting it's butt kicked out now.. cuz' I'm TAKING OVER!! Anyways.. good question, nice time to reflect! We all can do it w/ enough determination

It took 20 years off my age. Honestly, I am nearly 51 and no one can believe it.

                        I've become a full-fledged RUNNER....as in MARATHONER (that's a person who has run a 26.2 mile race and lived to tell ...)

I've gone from wearing a size 12 in missy to a size zero in juniors.

My cholesterol dropped like a rock.

I have so much more confidence. I nailed all of my job interviews this summer (and scored an awesome summer job to boot!) and now actually look people in the eye when I talk to them.

I've been dancing and running and loving the exercise, and actually feel AGILE now. People always ask me where I get so much energy. Nobody knows what I'm doing with this way of eating unless I tell them. They usually just remark that I'm a "picky eater."
No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

                          Vigilance, not perfection.

Starmaker, yeah I do weights when I bother to get up off my duff and do them. I did it religiously for about 8 weeks or so and it's been hit or miss ever since. I've got to get back to it.
