Don't know what to do?

Hi
I was wondering if anyone can help me. I have been put on Antibiotics by the Doctor for severe Sinusitis. I know these tablets work as I have had them before for this problem. The only problem I have is that one of the main ingredients is Sugar!!! I can't stop taking the tablets as I really need this to clear up. I was wondering whether whilst I am on the tablets, to stop the atkins and follow a low fat diet and then when I am finished the tablets, start induction again or whether to conitnue with Atkins and seen what happens?
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

My guess would be to stick with the Induction plan while on the antibiotics. How much sugar is in the antibiotics? I wonder if there is any way to figure that out. I hope you feel better soon!

No, while your taking your meds just continue with the plan. Eat lots of veggies and take extra Vitamin C. Have you read the book Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution. It explains why low fat diets just don't work, so why would you even bother with it. And with this plan we need fat to burn off the fat so you would probably gain.
Take your meds, and if you know the carb count, keep track of it and just go on. Also you could ask the doc if there is something equal without sugar in it.

That's unusual that an antibiotic would contain sugar because most medications are formulated with diabetics in mind.

Anyhow, take your medication and get healthy. There's no sense to be thin and die of a sinus infection.

Exactly, but stick to the plan, don't take this 'opportunity' to make yourself eat in a different way, you will still eat very close to just 20 carbs daily even WITH the pills.

Along with all the other people, I'd recommend you eat the same way AND take the pills. Whatever the damage from the additional sugar, the internal damage from having to relearn the WOE and deal with all the cravings again. Get yourself healthy and eating low carb with the medication is the healthiest way to do that.

Please do your body a favor and get on a pro-biotic as well. This will help the healthy flora return.
