I know, do the administrators know about this? I know things have changed here and we do have "sponsors" but, really??? Atkins works and it is free and it is healthy. Kimkins requires a membership fee. Not interested.

Kimmer's info can be found on another low-carb support site for free, fyi

BUT.....her plan is a fast track. It's hard core, it's low-fat, low-carb and low calorie. She also strongly supports fasting and speaks often of not exercising in conjunction with the plan to lose the weight she did.

Obviously..I'm not a strong supporter, and I don't think this is the place for the ad. <shrug>

A few folks brought this up a month or so ago.

Rich talks about notifying him of inappropriate ones. What a bunch of advertising poop.

I just went over somewhere else to read up on it because I hadn't hear of it. It sounds like Atkins circa 1992. Am I missing something? How is she claiming it's her diet?

Thanks for the heads up. If you do find any of these adverts popping up anywhere, please pm Tom or Kent about it. They are the "technical" admins who no how to put a stop to these ads.

            Thanks

It's more like the 70's version, but lower in fat. Kimmer's been around the low-carb world for a lonnnnnng time. She's a smart cookie, even though I don't agree with the drastic approach or the instant gratification mindset for success.

              Just my opinion though.

              Thanks Richt

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU, BROOK. Seeing the ad for her site here just about makes me sick. This is a healthy low-carb approach, not a starvation plan that she advocates. I tried low-fat and got fatter. I tried low-cal and got cranky. Atkins works. And don't get me started on her approach to 'NO EXERCISE.'....

                    Page 127

Unfortunately, I do not know anything of this individual or the details her program, nor have I ever seen any photos other than 2-3 headshots from a message board where she used to post. However, I have heard that there is a low-fat/calorie component to her program. On that, I will comment on one of my favorite quotes of Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution:

"I cannot stress strongly enough that trying to do a low-fat version of Atkins will interfere with fat burning and derail your weight loss."

I personally decline to follow Atkins any other way.
