  • atkins bar confusion

    Hi everyone,

I picked up an atkins bar to peak at its nutritional label and saw that on the botton it read something like "okay to eat during induction phase". I have been on induction for a month or so now and have been avoiding the bars because I thought they weren't allowed. Should I believe the label?

    Re: atkins bar confusion

They make a lot of people stall so that is why people say to stay away from them. I tried them the first time I was on atkins and they made me start craving sugar so they are off limits to me this time.

What is on the list of ingredients, lobstah?
If everything on the list is listed also on the 'allowed induction foods list' then it is acceptable for induction BUT (as far as I know) none of the Atkins bars conform to this basic rule no matter what the company suggests on their labels.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

I don't trust a company out to make money off weightloss products. If I stick to the plan, it works. If I add there stuff...no weight loss.

Google "low carb protein bar recipes." There are recipes with whole ingredients that make fantastic bars, without all the frankenfood nonsense. I make a bar every 2 weeks, cut them into 3" long bars, wrap them in plastic wrap, and have one every couple of days. All real ingredients - yummmmmmmy.

It just doesn't seem right that they say it is okay for induction if it isn't! All I know is that it tasted soooooo good! It is pretty sad that I feel that way, isn't it? ; )
