  • I weighed in for my starting weight it's depressing so it's rant time

Wow it's amazing how much we gain weight by being carbaholics. I was down to 272lbs i will need to drop a little over 100lbs to get down to where I fell off last time. O well I can't let that get me down. I am going to do it 1 lb at a time i'm talking progress. I will just keep looking forward because the past is behind me and call that a lesson learned.

      Hi Danny,

      I'm a second timer too.

Rather than thinking about the "number" of pounds you have to lose, maybe try this...think about where you'll be in 4 or 6 months, and how much progress you'll make. And think of how you'll look in a year, even!

      Best wishes to you!

        ^^^ see username.

I can't agree with you more Danny! You have a very positive outlook on losing, that will lead to success! Just keep repeating that when you hit a rough spot!

Re: I weighed in for my starting weight it's depressing so it's rant time

I too, have more than 100 lbs. to lose and have just started this journey (am 5 days into induction). So, I can certainly relate.

When I think about how long it will take, in addition to "one day at a time" and mini-goals and all those good strategies, I try to remind myself how quickly time passes. You know how suddenly, it's Labor Day or Halloween, winter, Christmas or whatever, and we all say -- where has the time gone?? Well, that's what I try to remind myself. Even though sometimes the days drag on b/c we are so anxious to see results, remember how quickly time really does pass.

So, keep looking ahead -- Labor Day will come and go -- and surely a few pounds with it -- before you know it!

              Take care and good luck!
