Okay, so I've given up my addition to carbs (I hope -- am feeling great!), but everyday (sometimes more than once a day) I am drawn to peeing on that little strip so I can watch it turn colors. Even when I KNOW I haven't eaten anything off-plan, I still want to see the proof of being in ketosis.
Today is day 6 for me, and I've lost 6 lbs. While I know a good bit of that is probably water, I'm still pleased.
Of course, I'm ready to lose all 100+ NOW, but I'll take it a day at a time.
By the way, I registered on fitday.com to keep track of my food and really like it! It's so easy! (Thanks for the tip, Rich.)
I was looking through the Atkins cookbook last night and saw all sorts of good things (I realize the site here is a great resource, too). I'm realizing I need to try some recipes very soon before I get bored with what I'm eating.
