    Hi,

I have been trying to follow a lowcarb WOE for a long time , but I was never able to kick my sugar addiction. I was used to eating lots of candy bars each day and I just couldn't motivate myself to quit.
Well , I did it! I kicked my candy habit and I haven't eaten a candy bar in weeks! I know it is just a start , but I think that eating a handfull of nuts or some grapes still is way better than candy and chips. I have also gotten used to drinking at least 2 litres water every day.

But now I want to start the real work. My boyfriend and I are going to visit Los Angeles in November (11/15 till 11/26) and I'm so motivated to look my best. I want to lose 20lbs by then , which means I still have about 3 months.
A co-worker , who has spent years training female fitness athletes (you know , the lingerie and bathing suit models) and he has devised a killer workout plan for me. And he advised me to go high protein and low carb.

Do you guys think it can be done? I'm 5'8 and weigh about 160lbs. I have to go to the gym 3x/week to do some serious weight lifting and cardio as often as my schedule allows. I also try to do pilates daily , but at least 3 times/week.

Anyway , I know it will be hard , but I really am extremely ready to make the changes. If someone has any advise or tips , I'm listening. Thanks!

    Re: deadline

    Hi Welcome!
First thing to do is pick up the Dr Atins New Diet Revolution 2002 copy and read it. Then do a clean induction and take it from there - I know you are going to do awesome!
Congratulations for kicking your candy bar habit!!!

      Re: deadline

Read the book and follow the plan and between that and the exercise you will lose whatever weight is healthy for you do lose and you will do it in a healthy way that will make it stay off if you continue to follow the plan. Be aware....you may or may not lose the 20 pounds if that is all you have to lose. It depends on your body type. And don't forget that muscle weighs more than fat. Better to go by the pair of jeans you want to get into than by a number on the scale.

        Re: deadline

You can certainly do it, but even if your a few pounds off, with this diet and exercise you will look 20 pounds lighter and feel 20 pounds healthier.
Join the "how long can you go" challenge, start a journal and sit back and watch the pounds disappear, and the inches vanish.
