Re: I'm Back And Ready For September Challenge- Join Me

So yeah, the thing I hate about frying sausages, bacon, etc...is that I often either have the hob up too high or I forget about it...buring the food and filling the apartment with greasy smoke.
So, I bought the Big George Foreman grill today and it's great!
Very simple to use and my place won't be filled with smoke and grease!
I'm very, very happy about that!
Here's a pic of Big George and his first effort (bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs)

Oooh you have my george! lol. Well, a new version. Mine's a couple of years old, and likes to get the fat everywhere BUT the drip tray (he's just being an arrogant piece of equipment lol) I just over cook EVERYTHING! It's just less dangerous ever since I set the kitchen on fire and flooded it in one day...lol

How are the September people doing as we move into Day 3?
Has been going well, have been pre-empting the induction headache with litres and litres of lovely water.
Dinner tonight in a restaurant I had veal with a few veg, lovely.
Haven't even been tempted to have any bad stuff, despite buying in bagels and a few other things for my lady guest.
              Ever onwards!!!
Have everything for a lovely big stir-fry to make tomorrow and have some lovely cheeses, have even shaved up a wedge of parmesan to have over the stir-fry.
Try it, beef and parmesan go really well.
Even my tummy has gone down very quickly, so it's all good baby!

Had delicious turkey stir-fry for dins today with turkey breasts, mushrooms, green beans, peppers, broccoli, ginger and tons of garlic and chilli.
Then I sprinkled shaved parmesan on top.
                Yum

Well, am I impressed with Big George or wot???!!!???

Put a nice big thick slice of round steak into it and 10 mins later, was a perfectly cooked well done steak!

No mess, no grease, no smoke.

I may never use a frying pan again.

                    I LOVE BIG GEORGE.

Also, Sep back on track going well, went out for dinner tonight and had chicken smothered in bacon and cheese with steamed veg.
                    Yum.

Last night I made this recipe I found on RecipeZaar.com called Veggie Sausage Herb Stuffing. I ate it last night and I've been eating it for every meal today because it's so good. 1/2 hour of cooking made me 4 easy meals!

Here's the link to the yummy low-carb recipe: http://www.recipezaar.com/131712

Well September seems to be going great, not tempted to cheat in the slightest, but then again I rarely do.
Lying in bed feeling my that my tummy is all sunken in again, so the junk must have left my system.
                            I feel confident and sexy!!!
And I'm in love with Big George!
This time around didn't getting a headache or thr trots, I put it down to drinking TONS of water. Always have a bottle beside you.

Well I'm too late for your Sept 1st restart.....but I will be restarting induction myself tomorrow. I'm taking today to re-read thru the book and thru some posts on the board.
I thankfully have not gained anything back but it is SO hard to get back on the wagon once youve fallen off. Ive had many days where I've said, I'll start today and come dinner time, I eat something carb laden. *sigh*
Any tips on being strong and staying strong? I guess I should eat things that I really really love during the day so that I'm not craving my daughter's dinner later in the day, eh?
Good luck to you all in your restarts!

Well, i can only speak for me personally.
                                I just hate being fat!
And I want and I'm ready to do something about it.
We only live once and I feel the fat keeps me from being all that I can be.
So, time to get rid of it.
