Re: Rye
Personally, I'm afraid of it. Once I start....I just can't stop.Originally posted by gazalehWhat do you guys think of those rye or wasa crackers as a bread substitute? ANyone here also have a wheat allergy?
I remember a diet 10 years ago that involved Ak-Mak crackers. Almost inedible. After 4 or 5 days, I was downing a box of'em.
...but that's just me.

Re: Rye
Wheat protein aggravates my asthma and allergies---if I eat it I begin to wheeze and my nose runs.
I can eat those WASA Fiber Rye crackers without any problem, even though it contains a bit of wheat. There's another brand called Ryvita that is made entirely of rye. I have no problem with those crackers either, which is a little strange because most people with wheat allergies are sensitive to rye and barley too.~Megs~
