I saw that advertised, I've been REALLY wanting to go anyway, but the grocery had shrimp on sale for $4.99/lb so I got some.........it's yucky!!!!!
    NO FLAVOR at all!!!!! :no

Now I'm upset cause I shoulda splurged on some different veggies or something instead of the shrimp. I'm planning on making some chicken stir fry soon, so I guess I'll throw the shrimp in there........

    SOOO DISAPPOINTED!!!!!

I'm afraid of going to Red Lobster because they have the endless shrimp special going on... and I could really down a LOT of shrimp!!
I'm terrified of going to the Red Lobster. The shrimp and lobster are merely a bonus. The real meal deal is eating about 15 baskets of their cheese biscuits before the rest of the food comes. Who can eat just one? Surely, not me.

You never know!!!!!! The family and I went out to dinner at a steak house a few weeks ago-I LOVE their yeast rolls-NOT as much as I do Red Lobsters cheesy garlic biscuits, but I do really like them----I buttered 'em up, gave 'em to the kids and DH and that was that....didn't bother me in the least bit. LOL, though I did ask the waitress not to bring any until I had my salad.....

I applaude you. I am not that strong. I have only a few weak spots in my life. My children mainly, and those cheesy garlic biscuits are a close second. I'm better off staying away. Far, far away! I think i just developed a craving.

I don't know Ben.......we don't go out often, and Red Lobster is next on the list when the time comes. Probably before our Christmas party for work is the next time we'll have a chance to go, so I'll let you know how it goes. I figure if I can resist the yeast rolls and even have to butter them for the kids, I'll be ok!!!!!

you can always tell the waiter not to bring them to the table. ofcourse you better explain it to the kids before you go so they don't make a fuss about the missing biscuits.

Kids won't be with if we go to Red Lobster! LOL, that's our date place. We only go out alone about twice a year-anniversary and christmas party. LOL, isn't that pitiful?????? We both work, odd and long hrs. I try to arrange my schedule when possible to work a lot of weekends so he's with the children then. He works M-F days 10-16 hrs a day, so I only usually work day shift 2 days between M-F. Right now, I'm not scheduled to have a weekend off until 12-4. Working night shift this weekend. We just prefer to raise our own kids instead of the day cares and school. Just our preference, but it doesn't leave a lot of "date" time. When we did go out for steak with the kids, I just asked the waitress to NOT bring any rolls unless she brought my salad too. She had no problem complying, and it worked for me! Ihappily chomped my salad, buttered their rolls and didn't have a problem. LOL, I was too busy trying to get them their rolls fast enough, pick carrots out of my salad and eat too!

For All the Cheese Biscuit Fans

                  Red Lobster Cheese Biscuits

                  1 cup Atkins bake mix
                  1/4 cup butter
                  1/2 t. salt
                  1 t. garlic powder
3/4 cup half cream, half seltzer (you may need much less)
3 - 4 oz. shredded cheddar (to taste)
                  3 T. sour cream
Mix the bake mix, salt and garlic powder together. Cut in butter until crumbly (or size of small peas). In a small bowl, stir together sour cream and seltzer/cream mixture. Add the liquid to the dry mixture. Add only enough to make it spoonable. Add shredded cheddar, mix well.
Spoon onto cookie sheet or muffin tins (greased well). Bake at 375 degrees for 15 - 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 15 minutes on wire rack (if you try to eat them hot, they'll fall aparet. They still taste good but it's quite a mess!).

I have made these and even my DH who cannot stand anything low carb eats them. (of course, he does not know they are low carb) HTH

I go out to dinner at least 3 times a week. I've found I have safer choices at the well know chain restaurants. Friday's, Carrabbas, Outback Steak House and the Roadhouse Grill are some of my favorites. Other restaurants are OK but choices there are usually limited to Cobb or Chef Salads or Grilled Chicken Caesar salads. There is a Mexican restaurant I also love. I usually order Fajitas and ask them to hold the tortillas, beans and rice.... and substitute more lettuce and pico de gallo. It comes with cheese, sour cream and guacomole. Eating in restaurants on Atkins is easy and safe. No need to ever feel deprived. Friday's even has a low carb cheesecake!!!!! :joy
