  • Tea Revisited!

I was surfing a few other Atkins boards when I found this interesting study about tea so I decided to link it here so folks can read it.

    BUT BEFORE I DO:

    1. Atkins still says tea doesn't count toward water rations.

    2. Tea company helped finance this study though the researcher insists they were unbiased.

    Here's the link:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/5281046.stm

I found that tea didn't stall my weightloss but your mileage may very, I know that diet coke is Darth Vader's little brother for me.

Tea doesn't stall or slow me, but it doesn't speed things up for me either.

I do love myself a good cup of tea.

Especially jasmine tea, green tea, or white tea.

I tried a few different brands of tea, and found one that kicks me into black strips every time, when other had no effect.

Traditional Medicinals Golden Green Tea works for me when several other brands had zero effect. Plus, this brand has hint of lemongrass that adds a pleasant flavor.

I love the teas from this place! www.republicoftea.com Before I tried ROT teas, I thought all teas were pretty much the same. I WAS WRONG. I just got another shipment today ... can't wait to try "hot apple cider" .. which is their limited edition flavor!

tea actually has some chemicals in it that will lowwer your cholesterol too but you need to drink 4-5 strong cups a day to get any benefit.

just remember it is what you add to your tea that will have the stalling effects unless you have a food reaction to the tea.

Hi 2big!!! Question for you? Why will tea give you the stalling effect???? Is it just the caffeine?

I believe she said it is what you add that will give you the stall-- Some like cream and splenda in their tea....

That was my understanding-- but- I have been wrong!!!

OOooppssss. You're quite correct. I misread it. I thought she meant it is the tea you add to your diet will give you a stall....but you're right!!!

                          Thanks!!

I just recently discovered a new tea that is great for cravings. Lipton has a line of new flavours out....my favourite are Biscotti and Caramel twist They are flavoured black teas..and they taste awesome with a bit of heavy cream and some splenda. It's like having a dessert to me!
