Yes sugar bad. First off when I ask a restaurant to replace something and they say no then I order something completely different and smack the servers hand for telling me no. Was it a lot of sauce or just what was on it and you scraped most of it off? I wouldnt worry too much about it just keep on trucking ahead it will be okay.

Bourbon chicken is LOADED with sugar. It's marinated into the meat of the chicken. You can't scrape it off.

You need to ask before you order something. Always be wary of sauces and gravies. Most of the time, they are made with sugar. And when they aren't made of sugar, they usually have lots of white flour and cornstarch in them.

Since you can't undo what has been done, you can start back with your very next bite of a legal food.

I usually find the manager and kick them in the head for their heartlessness (is that a word?). Anyway, at 2 days in to induction, it's pretty important to not be taking chances on how your body's going to react. I'd go with the whole "truckin'" comment, but if you're out, most places will replace things, if they won't make it without the sauce (I know some restaurants have pre-fab food they just heat) then get something different that you know is safer or you can make clean. Worst case scenario I've ever had is I eat a bacon cheeseburger without the bun and broccoli instead of fries as a side.

                    Re: oh man =(

You have to take the chicken out to dinner then to a bar and get it drunk then put in a bbq sauce jacuzzi the whole while charming it with conversation, very difficult...Sooo worth it!

I was never really good at the whole charming thing, as a girl, pretty much all you really need to do is tie a cherry stem in a knot with your tongue and... erm... I think that I'll shutup now.

Desipride, if you do see it somewhere could you let me know cause I think it'd be kinda fun to experiment and see if it can be atkins-y.
