Twice today while shopping I couldn't help but notice just how the pendulum has swung on low carb dieting. First the morning at Job Lots (like Big Lots) I got Atkins for Life and the Atkins for Life Essentials kit for $3 each. I had to laugh, the coupons inside for Atkins food expired in like 2004. I also got a few low carb products like some sauces dirt cheap. Then later today at the grocery in the bargain bin were no less than 5 different low carb cookbooks, marked down from $18-$20 to $5-$7. I realize it doesn't and shouldn't affect any of us, it was just a sign of the times.

Re: Interesting obvservations from shopping today
At the local dollar store, they have the Carb Options barbecue and teriaki sauce. Frankly, I thought those things tasted horrible, so no loss in my opinion.
Low carb became a super fad diet and for a while everyone was on some kind of variation of Atkins. I think we are now in a period where the low carbers are serious low carbers...not people looking for a quick fix under the mistaken impression that Atkins means you gorge yourself on bacon and eggs.~Megs~
