  • A silly question

Now I know this may sound silly but I must ask anyway.

For those of you over 350 pounds what scale do/did you use to weigh yourself on. I have one that is good for 380 pounds but everytime I use it I think it is inaccurate. My wife uses that scale and a different one and there is a 30 pound difference. The scale I use is always the one that is 30 pounds less. So what scale brand do you use to weigh yourself?

    Re: A silly question

Just to add in here (he's my husband, so I get to do that!)
He is using the Weight Watchers scale right now. That one, for me, has always been off. I love it because it makes the number smaller But not accurate!

We got on recently that I love, but doesn't weigh up to 380 for him. Hopefully someone can help out!!!

      Re: A silly question

Hi, welcome to both of you. So nice to have each other to keep you on the straight and narrow. I don't know of a scale to recommend but why not go to the doctors and let them give you a starting weight. I am sure they would not mind giving you a starting weight without an appointment then don't worry about the scale for two weeks or a month. Stick with the diet and before you know it Korelis will be using the lighter scale for sure. Good luck to you too, keep posting and keep us updated.

        Re: A silly question

you can try one at the hospital too or a wellness center sponsored by your local hospital until you shed enough pounds to use the new one. since pounds are just a guide to let you know if you are heading in the right direction it really doesn't matter if they are accurate or not just moving up or down in response to your hard work or cheating.

        happy low carbing.

This one does go down. Which is what for a while I have based if I am doing right or wrong. Thanks for the suggestion. You will see Tammy and I here pretty often.

That's a good way to think about it. Either way, whether you are 500 pounds or 165 pounds, losing weight is losing weight!

I have a friend who hops on the animal scales at her vets, of all places, because it is very accurate!
