  • You know you're on Atkins when... (Part II)

Figured it was time for another one of these topics - add in your discoveries!

You know you're on Atkins when..

Your mother and sister walk behind you in the street, then walk past you as they didn't recognize your skinnier profile from the back - despite seeing you every day

You create a vege garden for lettuces and brocolli

The checkout clerk gives you a funny look when she scans through a big bottle of cream with all your veges, salad and meat

You do a little dance when you discover an extra bag of flaxseed in the cupboard after you had thought you'd run out

You get excited when you can do up another button on the fly of a pair of jeans, that when you started Atkins, you couldn't get past your thighs

You have a nightmare involving an angry bull chasing you..... Seriously it was pretty bad at the time.

I second the garden, but I have lettuces, spinach and beets (for their greens)

Grocery shopping takes about half the time because you spend most of your time on the outskirts of the store and only have to visit one ot two aisles.

      OMG you are SO right!!!

I found it funny that we have been in and out so quickly, and not only that, I have ROOM IN MY CART for my 2 year old AND my groceries :icondance (she likes to sit in the back)

And they are so much easier ot put away.

and I have WAAAAAAAAAAAY more room in my pantry, that I was able to clean out a load of clutter in my other cupboards LOL.

You know you're on ADBB when..
you come to this forum for information or maybe a pick-me-up and ugly debates erupt from the depths of generally decent people who would never be this "in your face" to their friends and family.

(just my little twist on the topic, loonatika )

              Carry on.

When it is on sale, you buy 2 jars of mayo, 6 packages of cream cheese and 4 dozen eggs.

2 weeks later you are back for more

LMAO I just thought of something silly I did yesterday...

After grocery shopping, I went to Tim Horton's and ordered an XL decaf on my way home. I usually put my splenda and cream in it at home (35% fat as opposed to their 10%)

I realized I forgot I still had to make a 20 minute drive out of town to pick up my hubby some beef jerky.

Rather than let my coffee get cold, I pulled over to the side of the road and pulled out my stash of splenda and spoon from my console, and raided my 1 litre container of whipping cream out of my load of groceries.

I have never been so happy to be so prepared :joy
