Okay...coming from a loving place here....BUY THE BOOK!! Really..it is such a small investment in yourself that you can't really justify not buying. You are worth it! Then...READ IT! Seriously...there is so much information in it that you need to know. It will answer so many of your questions. In the meantime...READ THE STICKIES..the ones at the top of the induction forum. There are lists there that tell you what you can eat. You aren't as limited in your food choices as you think. Here is a site that even has induction menus on it. http://users3.ev1.net/~fontlady/
If you are using www.fitday.com (free BTW) to track you ratios you will better be able to tell where your protein intake lies...shoot for 25-30%.
Put some full fat salad dressing on your salad at lunch and have a salad with full fat dressing at supper too...and a cup of vegies too.
Atkins is not about no carbs. In no way did he ever condone cutting out carbs altogether. In fact..when (see, I said when, because I know you believe in yourself enough to go buy the book) you read the book you will find it is also about finding out how many and what kinds of carbs your body will tolerate.
This is your body and health we are talking about...surely you want to be as informed as you can be and not just by asking our opinions but being knowledgeable yourself. Think of it like you are a surgeon and you studied and learnt by only using the cliff notes...will you be successful...maybe...maybe not...but if you learn by the book you stand a 'weigh' better chance of success.
You can do this you are worth it!
