    Re: Would appreciate some advice

Thanks for everyones advice. For the past several days, I have drastically decreased my overall eating and found that I was hungry so I bumped up my water another 33oz a day...I feel like I am drowing from all the water, but I FINALLY re-lost my 7lb water weight gain and in addition went down 1lb on the scale...not much, but I am overjoyed with the fact that the scale finally budged. I am not sure how long I can keep up with my newly altered food portions, but I am going to stick with it as long as I can go...after that, I'll add some more food

I will definitely check my measurements at the end of the month and see if I've made any progress...I checked a week or so ago and nothing much changed from the previous time.

But don't deprive yourself! Eat when you are hungry...til you are full. Learn to listen to your body. When you are hungry, eat. Of course increasing your water throughout the day is good too. Great job, and look forward to seeing your progress!

        If you are hungry....eat.

This is going to be a balancing act for you until you get used to listening to your body.

I looked at the first menu you posted. What you can do instead of eating 3 eggs, for breakfast, eat 2 eggs, plus your cheese and your beverage. See what happens. For lunch and dinner, drop an ounce of meat and 1 tablespoon of the added fat. See what happens.

Only eat snacks if you are hungry between meals.

check your foods for hidden sugars cause you should not be hungry if you are eating Atkins induction. When you do get hungry eat some food and stop as soon as your hunger is satisfied. it will not be instant so take your time. I know I was amazed as i sat down to breakfast starving after woirking out and ate a couple bites of my flaxmeal hotcakes. Mother needed something so I had to stop and when I got back about 2o min later I was not hungry any more so the hotcakes went in the frige for a latter meal.

Even though I'm a goalie and don't have the appetite supprerssion of induction without all the food cues I often miss lunch cause I'm not hungry still.

          you will get it
glad your fluid weight is gone.

This is a pretty average day...I tend to stay away from more creative meals because they usually taste better and I always end up eating lots more of it

This seems like your cheese consumption may be a little high. How much cheese at breakfast? Each string cheese is 1 oz, so that is 2 ounces for a snack, plus breakfast and then 3 tbs of cream cheese for a snack before gym. Also, 4 tbsp of dressing on a 2 cup salad seems like a lot too. How many carbs in your dressing on your salad? I thought we were only supposed to have 3-4 oz of cheese per day.

I've been stalled too! I found this online. I think it is helpful:

"Bob says a person's weight naturally plateaus at a certain point so the body's organs can adjust. Once this happens, you can start shedding those last few pounds by increasing the intensity of your workout.

Activities such as aerobics may help you lose weight at first, but eventually those workouts become less challenging. He suggests working out on a treadmill, which allows you to increase the pace and the incline over time.

"It's physics," he says. "You at your given body weight today are exercising with a 3 percent hill at 3.3 miles an hour—that's great. Your weight's going to adjust and come down. … But, you need to increase the workload, and most important, the pace. [You can] methodically break through each plateau by increasing how fast you move."

                Re: Would appreciate some advice

the plateau breakthrough by increasing your exercise out put simply means you were eating enough food to fuel your body at that weight for all the things you were doing and you either needed to lower your food intake or up your claoric output.

Women lose from the basal cals alone about 9 cals per pound of body weight which means when you lose 10 pounds your body will need 90 less cals a day to do the exact same thing you were doing when you started. As you lose more say 30 pounds you are now 270 cals a day in deficit from when you started so if you haven't increased your exercise or decreased your food intake (which is why listening to your hunger and only feeding your hunger is so important) your weight loss will grind to a stop when the number you chose when you started your Atkins for your food intake matches your caloric expendature for the day. Some folk have picked a high deficiet between intake and output when they start and lose weight effortlessly for months but then stop. other struggle from day one cause their deficeit is low. But as you get smaller you got to burn more fuel or take in less cause you are using less doing the same stuff.

remember too sclae weight isn't a reflection of fat loss because you can and will add lean body mass as you lose your body fat and the scale has no idea how you morphed your body so check the inches and get the bodyfat% checked as you work your Atkins. Calflygirl lost over 5 ft of inches using the 6WEC measuring places, but less then 40 total pounds as she morphed her body working her Atkins. She was the most unhappy shrinking lady in her posts cause she wasn't cheating was exercisng and still less then 10 pound came off in over 6 months time during 2003. based on her body fat %change during that time we knew she had added 11 pounds of muscle mass too so she had lost over 20 pounds of fat but without her inches and % of body fat she would have sworn Atkins was a failure for her cause the scale wasn't moving.
