Yep, although all hot dogs are not created equally. Make sure you look at the ingredients, and make the appropriate choice. With this diet and processed foods, it always comes down to reading the package.

        Re: hotdogs

you can eat hotdogs just donm't make it a habit of every meal having hotdogs unless you are making them yourself so you know what is in them. Since you seem to really really love them stop stressing and eat them but look for other foods you can exchange for them as you go along like spend one day a week cooking and precook hamburgers, meat laf meatballs, fish pork. or chicken or whatevery you like and bag it up in individual serving sizes then you can just pop it in the microwave and in the same time you spent getting a hjotdog you can have something a little more healthy

I eat them. Not all the time. But occasionally. When I do, I eat Sabrett's.

          http://www.sabrett.com/nutrition.cfm

Q: The ingredient sorbitol is used in Sabrett Frankfurters as a sweetener, is it approved for diabetics?
          A:
Yes, sorbitol is approved for diabetic use in small doses.

            Re: hotdogs

So true about them not being created equally! Some hot dogs have 5 grams carbs per hot dog! Sheesh! I think the cheaper they are, the more sugar they have (cheap filler).

              Re: hotdogs

mine says less then 1 gram carb no sugar... I've been mixing it up not having tons of hotdogs... but noticing my hunger increasing by 50 tp 70 % at times... had less hunger with the hotdogs. But I think eating different things will be good also for me...

              So thanks everyone

                Re: hotdogs

Its not been mentioned here, but I am assuming when you say "hot dog", you mean just the frank. And not the rolls that the frank goes in.

You see, in the UK a hot dog is a sausage (frank) in a long roll.

                  Re: hotdogs

the less hunger would be the higher fat in the dogs then wht you are replacing them with.

That's true, here, as well, Rich. I guess some folks might not make that distinction, but most of us do.
