  • Induction Update

    Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to update you all on my progress. So far I've lost 12.5lbs during the last two weeks of induction. I also lost 2 in. off my waist, and 2 in.off my hips.

I'm going to stay on induction for a while. I've been following Dr. A to the letter. The first few days where hellish, really bad headaches, then oneday I had so much energy. It's a wonderful feeling. I've pretty much been eating the same foods everyday, really haven't felt like trying anything new yet.
I've been looking through the recipes though, and some of them sound awesome. I've been exercising, walking, and biking. I'm going to add ab's this week, and weight training next week.

I love the feeling of not being hungry all the time. I remember just a few weeks ago I could eat a double cheese burger, fries, and drink a large soda, and I would be hungry again in 1/2 an hour.

I've set four mini goals for myself, and I'm going to reward each one I meet with a trip to the spa. Maybe this is weird but I also bought a pair of jeans, and a t-shirt I want to wear when I make goal. It's motivation, so it can't be that weird. . .right?
I know this is long but I just wanted to update you all. I really enjoy reading all the posts, this place is so informative, and motivating. I can't wait to join some of the challenges in November!

      Re: Induction Update

I think the goal outfit is a great idea!!! I have a top in my closet I've been wanting to wear for years. I think I'll pull it out, try it on, and hang it in a prominent place for motivation. Thanks for the idea!!!!!!

Thank you so much for all of your comments! They are so encouraging

Carolsanavywife, and Loree27, as far as my menu goes I usually have:

Breakfast: 2 or 3 scrambled eggs, I mix in ½ cup mushrooms (I love mushrooms) I have 2 sometimes 3 slices of bacon. Breakfast keeps getting smaller and smaller. I originally started off with 4 eggs.

Lunch: Either chicken (Perdue. . I think, has this chicken that comes individual wrapped. I think it’s a great idea) or tuna ( I add mayo to the tuna) I have 1 cup lettuce. I mix a little olive oil, and garlic together for a dressing.

Dinner: I really love No Name Petite steaks. I usually have a cup of mushrooms with that. I sauté the mushrooms in the steak juice. Sometimes I have chicken if I don’t want steak, or sometimes I’ll have a hamburger.

If I have to have a snack it’s usually a slice of cheddar cheese, or I take a slice of tomatoes and put it on mozzarella with a little basil, salt, and pepper.

I know the menu is a little boring, but I’m not board with it yet. When I start to get board I’ll start trying the recipes that are listed in the recipe section.

2big4mysize, I was going to wait until Nov. Cause I thought I had to. I didn’t know I could just drop in on the challenges that already started. I did however join the Pres. Challenge, which is a lot of fun. I really like tracking my activity. Thanks for letting me know I could drop in any time.

I really want to thank everyone for their encouragement. I can’t wait until next year. I love that Atkins has made me feel hopeful, nothing else ( WW, TOPS, slim fast, etc.) has ever done that.
