  • Exercise......

Well, I've had 2 days off this week (which almost never happens) and my body has healed enough from the 100+ hour work week I had last week, that I decided to start the exercise portion of my atkins program.

My typical work day is 12+ hours all on my feet, 6 or 7 days a week. It's dang near impossible to exercise when your feet are screaming at you. Well, I've lost enough weight that with 2 days off, my feet aren't hurting!!!!!

I think this is a first for me in almost 2 years!!!

It's so nice to not hurt! YAY ATKINS!!!
"I'm big boned" ...Um, nobody has bones that big....

Buffalo wings, not just for breakfast anymore.

Hey baby, how do you like bald fat guys with no money?

That's great!! As girly as it sounds, maybe you should get a pedicure, nothing like having people rubbing my feetsies to make me feel better, well, and them feel better. And guys do it too, I've seen it.

      Re: Exercise......

Chef, If you are on your feet all day and moving around you may not need any more exercise. When I mow the grass it takes 2 hours and I have gotten plenty of exercise for that day.

I hear what you are saying, but the only time my heart rate gets up is when I am yelling at some idiot.

            Re: Exercise......

you could add some exercise to your standing cooking and yelling to get your heart rate up several times a day and get added benefit from all that standing

So what you looking to do as your formal exercise? which of our many exercise challenges are you joining?

I have a very nice eliptical and a really cool old school nordic trac made out of oak (tell you how old it is!)
also have a full weight bench

As for gordon ramsay, I would love to have his bank account.
I would yell at the idiots on ****'s kitchen too, they pick the worst people for that show.

The guy who won first season was supposed to get the HK restaurant, well he turned it down to work for Gordon who then either fired him or made conditions impossible for him to work under. Only took 2 months for that to happen.

Then Heather won this year's show. They have demoted her to sous chef in the italian restaurant in the resort. and they took away the ownership % she won!!!

They need some real chefs on that show!

Whoa!!! Where did you hear that??? I watched HK too, btw. I can't figure out why they just don't look through Cook's Illustrated, find a simple recipe, tweak it, and use that for the "signature dish". Or steal something from one of Mark Bittman's minimalist recipes.

Frankly, I would love it if one of the finalists next season did a low carb menu.
