go to McDonalds.com and build your meal with them and see http://app.mcdonalds.com/bagamcmeal drag your food to the bag and then hit get the facts. then click your food and remove the bun and any other condiments you are not going to eat minus the ketchup and bun but with the meat, cheese, onions, pickles ( has to have some vegies) mustard and grill seasoning it comes to 290 cals and 5 net carbs each one
It's like, 900 calories and 15 carbs for one meal?! eep.

I'm pretty sure McDonalds uses some kinda fake-arse cheese that has added carbs. I normally go to Wendy's or Burger King for this reason (when I'm in need of that kind of food).
I don't like McDonalds hamburgers because the cheese always sticks to the bun...
I know what a pain that is but (I think someome already mentioned it) just order it without the bun & ketchup. They give it to you in a lil' plastic thing. No peeling required.

wrong! McDonalds according to their US website uses real american cheese the top of the line stuf, not any fake cheese food nor imitation cheese.

I'm not so sure about that. I want it to be true because I like McDonald's double cheeseburgers but see below...
This is from their website:
Pasteurized Process American Cheese Milk, milkfat, water, cream, sodium citrate, salt, sodium phosphate, sorbic acid (preservative), artificial color, cheese culture, acetic acid, soy lecithin, enzymes, with starch added for slice separation. Contains milk and soybean ingredients
When I buy real cheese without stuff added to it the ingredients are always consistent. They are: pasteurized milk, cheese cultures, salt, and enzymes.
Paturized processed American cheese is by law the stuff that is a mix of colby and cheddar American cheese is a mixture of any other yellow cheeses. All yellow cheese has artificial coloring added.
cheese is basically milk and an acid with rennet which is the Milk, milkfat, water, cream, sodium citrate, salt, sodium phosphate, artificial color, cheese culture, acetic acid, soy lecithin, enzymes. since any cheese in slice form has a startch dusting to seperate the slices that point it mute since all places will have that. all commercial cheese has preservatives in them too.
your packages are not required tro list every ingredient if the item falls in the FDA exemption list so your package of cheese from the store can have the exact same stuff and not list it except for the coloring and the soy since they are part of the food allergen listings.
The Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act requires, in virtually all cases, that all the ingredients of a food be listed on the food label. Two exemptions to the labeling requirements recently have been involved in a number of reported food allergen reactions: the collective naming of spices, flavorings, and colorings; and insignificant levels of additives in a food that do not have a technical or functional effect on the final product.
hehehe, calling american cheese 'real' is always going to be an iffy proposition. It may be more real than cheese whiz, but it certainly isn't the quality of regular old block cheese.
