I've had them before when I wasn't able to get to a drug store and get diabetic versions.
You're only taking them for a short amount of time, so I wouldn't worry too much about the carb content personally. Health is always more important, and should come first.
Just don't go eating them by the truck load, and you should be fine lol. I always find that the cough drops are a much better alternative to the sticky, sugary syrups, but if you can, get a diabetic version. Otherwise sugar free will have to do.
Inactive Ingredients: Halls Sugar Free--
BLACK CHERRY: acesulfame potassium, aspartame, blue 1, carboxymethylcellulose sodium, flavors, isomalt, red 40 Phenylketonurics: Contains 2 mg Phenylalanine Per Drop.
CITRUS BLEND: acesulfame potassium, aspartame, carboxymethylcellulose sodium, flavors, isomalt, yellow 5 (tartrazine) Phenylketonurics: Contains 2 mg Phenylalanine Per Drop.
MOUNTAIN MENTHOL: acesulfame potassium, aspartame, carboxymethylcellulose sodium, flavors, isomalt Phenylketonurics: Contains 2 mg Phenylalanine Per Drop.
Aspartame is the sweetener used so I wouldn't necessarily worry about the carbs. I hope that helps!
Edit! I missed something in my original post: they have isomalt, that's a sugar alcohol! EEEEEK! As some of us know (or have had the experience), sugar alcohol can have undesirable effects on your digestive system (think laxative, bloating, gas, etc). I speak from experience.
I keep getting a very sore throat at the beginning of the school year (I teach). So for the last two years, I would start gnawing on sugar-free cough drops by 2nd period. it took me a while to realise that this was the reason I was gasping in pain from gas cramps by 6th period. Talk about rough in my position!!!! I can't even leave the room. Anyway, this year I just keep a lot of ice water handy - it's not the same as cough drops but my gut thanks me.

Riccola cough drops are better for us Atkineers. I'll have to check why, but I'm sure that was what Atkins said was the only one to use, in the 2000 book.
It never failed. The first week of every year of college, I would come down with bronchitis.

<3 you guys! I've been sick saw the ricola thing, went to their site found out they do make sugar free ones. Lemon mint is delish and really worked for me. They did make me a bit gassy though
I keep these in my purse and suck on them sometimes- not every day. Lately I have been battling cold/allergy issues and they help tremendously. When really sick I have to sleep with one in my mouth. Never had any problems, even during weight loss phases.
Keep doing what you're doing & you'll keep getting what you're getting!!!
I bought some equaline sugar free menthol cough drops says compare to Halls. Well then AFTER I ate one I looked at the ingredients I realized they have malitol in them. I cannot do malitol mainly because it makes me crave like crazy, and have incredible gas too and if I eat too much I get even worse gastro issues if you know what I mean. I do like mentioned earlier just keep a cold glass of water handy.
