Hi everyone -
Well, I've been one month on Atkins - got off Induction 2 weeks ago, weighed myself for the first time this week and I lost 15 lbs. (and one belt loop size) at this point. Starting weight=336 Present weight=321, and headin' down!
I'm a type 2 Diabetic and I've been testing my blood sugar regularly, and this diet has been super. Before, I averaged around 130-150, now I'm averaging around 100-120. Not bad. And I feel a whole lot better also. By the way, for some reason, whether it's the diet or the lowered blood sugar level, I've noticed an improvement in my... er.... uh.... "desires".
(good for the marriage, I guess!)
Just starting to read the Atkins book (I know I should have read it first), but I ordered the correct version from Amazon and it just came last week.
My question is this - I'm already taking a multi-vitamin. I don't have a lot of money to spend on additional vitamins and supplements, so in your opinion, if I were to limit my purchase to 5 additional vitamins or supplements, which 5 would you recommend I get? (not including the good daily multi-vitamin I'm already taking).
Also, I have a bit of knee pain occasionally, is this normal? I'm drinking a lot of water. Is there any "safe" over the counter med that I can take without it affecting my weight loss?
Thanks for any help you can give!
