One thing I have noticed about this board is some people have the opinion if your not doing Atkins the way THEY say, or the book says, it should be done. Get out.

So unfriendly.

Everyone does it different, some people (my hand goes up) do this diet of a way getting control of my weight so that one day I can say, today I will be 'bad'. But have the willpower to be good the next day and after that. To PICK when and what foods we are going to splurge out with without eating them ALL.

I do it different, Forest does it different. Everyone probably has their own spin on it.

Jenny, I thought as you did right up until he said he hadn't even read the book!!!
I mean, have you never had people, your friends etc...tell you how you'll die on Atkins, how it'll make u fatter, how it doesn't work, etc., etc...but they haven't read the book and they have no clue?
Maybe I'm going off on a tangent, but maybe people should be required to read the book and take a lil test before having posting privileges as it sometimes makes me wanna scream when they say they haven't read the book! Aaaaaaaaaaaaargh!
The guy hadn't read the book, so he prob wasn't even on Atkins anyway...

I can understand why people can get annoyed, but yes, there's no excuse for belittling people as we are all on these forums for positivity.

You'll always get certain types of people on message boards (just as you do in real life) You know the kind of people I mean and I don't need to say anything more than that. But don't let them discourage you or get you down...

Most of the people on these boards are great and their advice is probably worth its weight in gold to us and we all wish each other the best.

why do I have to read the book? I use the internet to do ALL my reseacrh for just about everything I do in life. Its a GREAT resource and saved me the 30 bucks on the book that would have ended up on my shelf not being read.

Go doi a search for atkins on any search enjine and you will find more info in the diet then you will find in the book. MUCH better resource IMHO.

So by your interpetaion if I dont read the Bible im not a good or practicing catholic?
