  • progress proof!

I started atkins with a 24 pant size. Friday I broke out some clothes in the back of my closet I hadnt worn since after having my 2nd baby. (I have 3). The pants were size 20 and FIT GREAT! I could button them easily with no hang over (the nice jelly upper belly). I put them on with a nice smaller t shirt and my hubby came home from work and the first thing he said was , wow you look good! This is something considering my hubby isnt a compliment giver. Hes also pretty clueless about stuff like that so if he noticed then I know the rest of the world can and its really working...

But sunday I pulled out my old size 16 denim skirt and IT FIT TOO! Its a tad snug so that it might be a bit constricting when i sat but still not hang over, but that may be because its highter waisted. Still its unbelieveable!!!

A friend of mine has a daughter my age who was my size and she gave me a few bags of clothes her daughter cant wear anymore. I tried them on (all 24's) and they are all too big. The shirts swallow me! (I am smaller on top though now, loosing more weight there). I noticed that they were the same size as the stuff I had in my drawers but for some reason didnt fit so after rebagging up all her stuff, I went thought my drawers and ended up adding most of my stuff too after trying it on.

It wont be long at all till I can shop in the regular area of the store instead of plus sizes. Im so happy I could wear an atkins bumper sticker across my butt!

Congratulations!! I couldn't be more understanding about the whole "regular" area of the store thing...when that incident finally occurs it's going to be so wonderful! Especially now that I've been watching "what not to wear" on tlc, so I know what's fashionable and what's a no no...lol. Kudos on your fitting into your smaller clothes!
