    Does anyone know, or experienced..

Do feet get narrower when you lose weight? (please please please!)

Since I've always been a chubster, I've always had extra wide feet, and I would be over the moon if the do..

    Re: feet...

My friend Mindy lost 100 lbs and she said her feet got smaller, I could ask her about the width and let you know. I feel your pain...shoes are a hard thing for me to find as well, I like the Nikes they have on footlocker.com and zappos.com has beautiful shoes in ALLLL sizes and widths...I have fun just clicking around on there!

I wore size 8.5 wide shoes. I lost 87 pounds, and now wear a 7.5 regular. My feet shrunk that much!

So yes, your feet will shrink.

Great question, and i am happy to see the answers!!! I was always a 7 or 7.5 narrow and after gaining so much weight with my pregnancy (even two years later!) i am now an 8 or 8.5 and wide. It is very annoying... i had to give all of my beautiful shoes to my friend, who bless her heart, said she'd just "hold" them for me until i could fit into them again... so i am glad to hear that i'll be able to (hopefully) someday!

it is going to depend on your feet bones as to if you get width loss. I lost a size in length but none in widthI still wear a 4E in New Balance shoes

Wow I didn't know that feet get smaller when you lose weight...although mine seem to have grown this summer and I DID gain weight--I thought my feet were just spreading because I wore flip flops for 3 months!

So does this mean we're going to have to upload before and after pics of our feet? )

My shoe size went from about a 6½ when I was 30+ pounds heavier, to many size 5's being too big for me. (I technically measure a 4½.) If any shoe has a heel to slip into, my heels don't stay in them when I walk - i.e., a tacky flip-flop effect. Ha! Be happy if you have a 6 or bigger.

yeah i went from an 11 to a 10 or 9 1/2 in 20 lbs. Wow didnt know how fat feet became, lol.

It was weird cause I was at payless trying on shoes for the first time in a long time and everything was too big and I had to double check and make sure I wasnt in the mens section. Nope, just lost some fat in the feet, lol

Count me as one who lost width rather than size... I went from an easy 15W to a 15D or medium. Sometimes you forget on how bad the fat gets distributed across all parts of your body, even crazy places like around your skull and feet... If I wasn't so cheap, I would have tossed my work shoes for being oversized, but they cost too much to stay in the back of the closet.
