I've seen a couple of threads asking about counting Net carbs. I think there is a basic confusion about "net carbs".
Net carbs are what we count during Atkins. It is simply total carbs - fiber grams - sugar alcohols.
I think the confusion lies in that folks are using the term "net carbs" to identify "low carb products" ie low carb bars, low carb shakes, low carb candy, etc. Please don't use "net carbs" in this manner. It's very confusing to us on ADBB because when we see the words "net carbs" we think "total carbs- fiber grams - sugar alcohols".
